Fat Reduction with Ultrasonic Cavitation
Ultrasonic cavitation is a non-invasive, non-surgical weight-loss treatment that uses low-frequency sound waves to burst fat cells, resulting in lost inches on the treated areas and (ultimately) a slimmer figure.
How does ultrasonic cavitation work?
During the cavitation procedure, a non-invasive ultrasound wand is used to target specific body areas with low-frequency sound waves.
Low frequency ultrasound subjects fat cell membranes to a strong wave of pressure. The fat cells can’t withstand this pressure, and disintegrate into a liquid. The body then moves this liquid through the lymphatic system to the liver, where it’s recycled and used as energy. Ultrasonic Cavitation is a non-invasive procedure designed to tighten, reshape, and tone skin. Ultrasound waves penetrate the skin to create bubbles next to the fat cells. These bubbles then implode, carrying with them excess material dispelled through urination and perspiration. The result is immediate centimetre loss.
Areas that can be treated include abdomen, love handles, inner thighs, outer thighs, buttocks and arms.
What kind of results can I expect?
Ultrasonic cavitation does not destroy fat cells; rather, it empties them of their contents, which means the cells are capable of storing fat again. A balanced diet is the only way to ensure lasting results. Those who take in more calories than they burn will see their improvement start to decrease over time.
Results can vary greatly from patient to patient. However, you should see:
- Reduced circumference in the treated area (due to fat-cell release)
- An overall contoured appearance (due to a combination of the benefits listed above)
How many treatments do I need? How often should I be treated to see results?
The exact number of treatments needed will vary due to factors such as age, weight, and the area being treated. Ideally, between 10 and 12 sessions are needed for optimum results. By the fifth treatment, many people see a circumference reduction of 1–5 centimeters. Each treatment will take about 30–50 minutes.
Will it treat cellulite?
Ultrasonic cavitation is not the right procedure for cellulite. Please check out our Skin Tightening RF Treatments which can successfully address cellulite issues.
Preparing for your session
Drink lots of water before and after the treatment. Exercise after the treatment helps it work more effectively.
